New World has hardly come to rest since its launch when it comes to technical problems and problems with bugs and exploits. There is currently a new bug in the game that allows gold to be duplicated. Therefore, the developer was forced to bring almost the entire ec onomy of the game to a standstill.
Why is it that so many bugs are popping up in New World and causing such serious problems? A theory came up recently, but Amazon vehemently contradicts:
Bad programming?
New World is said to be vulnerable to exploits, Amazon objects
Player economy has been put on hold
Duplicate gold? That sounds suspiciously like the already known and officially fixed exploit, which recently even brought the server transfers to a standstill. But it shouldn’t be a comeback, but a new exploit.
Of course, we won’t go into the exploit at this point, mainly because it has not yet been fixed. Therefore, drastic measures have been taken to bridge this gap until it can be closed with an early fix. To put it bluntly, the entire economy was paralyzed between the players, which is likely to damage the already unhealthy economy of New World.
All gold transfers have been stopped. This applies to trading between players, sending money to other characters, the company bank, but also the auction house. In the community, this approach causes further frustration, and the calls for a reset of the game, so to speak a restart to restore the balance, are getting louder.
The only way to continue to maintain some form of trade is through exchanging items This form of economy has been practiced in New World for some time:

Harsh penalties for exploit users
Amazon Games has of course already commented on how to proceed from a disciplinary point of view and is holding out the prospect of harsh punishments for all players who have gained an advantage thanks to this gold exploit. There is already talk of the first bans on Reddit:

When the gap will be closed, and what the next steps in terms of the in-game economy will look like, they still left open. This new problem comes at an inopportune time, as New World is already grappling with falling player numbers. But how bad is this trend really, and what does it say about the future of the MMO?
How are your experiences straight from the game? Do you already specialize in trading goods, or do you hope that the in-game economy will improve soon?
