After just last month of July, in which we saw the Switch release of Zelda Skywards Sword, Pokémon Unite and many JRPGs, things will be quieter in August. So a quieter time, but also more varied with a varied selection that offers a wide range to meet the wishes of the players.
The Falconeer: Warrior Edition
It’s been a little over eight months since The Falconeer released on Xbox and PC consoles. Developed solo by Tomas Sala, the game, when released, managed to take us on a journey into a universe with particularly detailed lore, served by meticulous artistic direction, both in terms of visuals and sound design, and dogfights quite pleasant. Far from being free from all reproaches, the falconer nonetheless left us in our hunger for a mixed outcome. However, this release on Switch, in an expanded edition with all the DLCs already released, seems to want to shuffle the cards again and is accompanied by a new expansion called “End of the World”. In The Falconeer you slip into the role of a pilot who commands a warbird whose endurance you manage through the open world of the Great Ursea. Here you will find artifacts and ancient relics that are coveted by various factions and that you have to defeat in dogfights. With this brand new edition, the game has new missions, increases the level limit and introduces two new classes (Judge and Corsair) that will be accompanied by their mount (Phoenix and Prehistoric Pteron).

Greak: Memories of Azure
The recipe for Greak: Memories of Azur takes three steps, according to its creator, Navegante Entertainment. First, take the Castlevania series as a base and add the Metroid series to it. This first combination gives you the already familiar genre of Metroidvania, in which you integrate mechanisms from the Trine license: You will receive the main offer from Greak: Memories of Azur. Through a hand-painted artistic direction from hand-made animations, you play as three characters from the same family: Greak, Adara and Raydel, all three of the magical Kurin race. Their specific skills, in turn, allow you to solve puzzles, triumph over enemies, and scroll sideways in the world of Azure to escape the Urlag invasion.. To escape, however, they must build an airship and recover the parts necessary to create it during an adventure rocked by a sweet orchestral soundtrack. But that is without counting on the agility of Greak, the magical powers of Adara and the mighty shield of Raydel, which should help them a lot in their lengthy mission: to sow the enemy faction and save their people.

KeyWe
The video game industry is always giving us more, shall we say, down-to-earth simulators. Far from wanting to follow the trend, the developers at Stonewheat & Sons opted for the complete opposite in order to provide us with a post-simulator in which we would not camp two PTT agents who were in the exercise .. … but two adorable kiwis named Jeff and Debra. But there is a small problem: these birds have no hands and only have their legs and beak at their disposal! At this interactive workplace, the two friends, embodied by two actors in local or online cooperation, have a lot to do between the telegrams, to send the urgent messages, to send the parcels or to sort the mail. And since the postal services are also weather-dependent, KeyWe offers a seasonal cycle to make your couple tasks (still) a little more difficult.. In this regard, and although the two birds are the key to success, if we trust the title of the software, it is possible to play solo and control the two Kiwis with one controller.

Cattle thief
Rustler also went through the Kickstarter box to see the light of day, like Black Book we talked about above. Inspired by the irreverent Grand Theft Auto franchise and the humor modeled on the Monty Python, Rustler does not hide his inspirations and even allows himself a very strong homage to the hits of Rockstar Games in his sub-title Grand Theft Horse. Admittedly, the general conditions are very different there, but the misdeeds to be carried out are just as politically incorrect as those of GTA. Driven by the Middle Ages, in an open world from above, you play an antihero named Guy, who was born at the bottom of the social ladder and whose ambitions can only be satisfied with the help of the missions he will carry out and the crimes he will commit will. His ultimate goal? Win the Grand Tournament and the hand of the princess. To do this, Rustler gives you complete freedom of action, whether you choose to play as one of the available factions or turn the village upside down by stealing horses or murdering the barges that are unfortunate enough to upset you . . The key word is to be ruthless because the road that Guy expects is as long and dangerous as it is punctuated by anachronisms and popular references.
