The Europe silent film Nosferatu was released in 1922. Now the vampire Count Orlok returns to the cinema – of course in color (at least partially) and with a modern soundtrack. The main roles are prominently cast, including Willem Dafoe as Prof. Albin Eberhart Von Franz, Bill Skarsgård as a vampire and Nicholas Hoult and Lily-Rose Depp as the Hutter couple. The first trailer creates a wonderful gothic horror atmosphere, and the film is likely to be correspondingly dark. However, not in time for Halloween, the cinema release is December 25th, 2024, in Europey not until January 2nd, 2025.
