After a release on the Nintendo Switch eShop, the excellent Disco Elysium role-playing game will be released in a “box” version with some bonuses. Pre-orders are open.
Disco Elysium: an RPG masterpiece on Nintendo Switch
In late 2019, Disco Elysium was released on PC. A unique game of its kind that managed to shake up RPG codes. In the role of an amnesia cop after an over-drinking spree, you must solve a filthy murder case as you set off to find out your identity and your past. Disco Elysium has immense qualities: First, it’s just brilliantly written. Most of the action takes place in the text, but reading is never boring and the whole thing is especially breathless. The universe depicted is also very original and distances itself from the ancient fantasy or futuristic worlds.
The Nintendo Switch version of Disco Elysium corresponds to the “Final Cut” published on the PC and we therefore benefit from a full French translation of the text, but also an excellent English synchronization and a few additional quests. The whole thing offers a very good lifespan of at least 50 hours, for which we like to restart a game, as the game gives the player a lot of freedom of action.
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is now available for pre-order on Switch. This box version also offers a poster and a digital art book of 190 pages.

Disco Elysium on Switch manages to keep the pleasure of the original game intact as we enjoy excellent readability of the text and user interface even in portable mode. The grip of the controller is also well thought out and no point of friction spoils the experience. The only drawbacks of the table: a stable frame rate, which, however, struggles to exceed 30 FPS and long loading times between the individual zones. But if not, if you like (very good) reading and universes that are as original as they are dense, you can do it: you are sure to have one of your most beautiful role-playing experiences.
