You can also synchronize the contacts and calendar from Outlook with the Android smartphone or tablet. Our guide tells you how.
- Synchronize data afterwards
- Sync the calendar only
The Freemailer Outlook is not only suitable for your e-mail traffic, but also for managing contacts and appointments. If you use Outlook for this purpose, you should always have this data at hand on your Android smartphone. Thanks to the synchronization, there is no need to transfer everything manually.
There are several ways to sync your mobile device with Outlook on Android. If you set up the Outlook app, contacts and the calendar are automatically synchronized. But only if you give your consent. However, synchronization is still possible at a later point in time.
Synchronize data afterwards
-
1
If you rejected the data synchronization when setting up Outlook, you have to go to the settings on your Android device and then click on “Apps”.
-
2
Then select Outlook and tap on “Permissions”. Under “Allowed” or “Not Allowed” you can see what the app can access.
-
3
For example, click on “Contacts” and switch from “Do not allow” to “Allow”. Repeat the process with any other desired data.
Sync the calendar only

3
Click on the icon in the upper left corner again and select “Calendar on device”.
