Echo is a sophisticated multi-robot with adaptable AI that belongs to the hero category damage. Echo was developed by Singaporean scientist Dr. Created Mina Liao, one of the first members of Overwatch. Before joining the organization, Dr. Liao one of the world's leading experts in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence.
She dreamed of further developing the original design of the omnics. The Echo project arose from this vision. Dr. Liao created an adaptive robot that could learn a wide variety of functions depending on the programming – everything from medical support to building construction. Echo's ability to make independent decisions was severely limited. Overwatch used Echo with great caution and very rarely. But Dr. Liao had provided Echo with extensive and powerful artificial intelligence through which she could learn from observations. As a result, Echo has inherited much of Liao's behavior – and speaking habits.
She has a whole bunch of skills and can even duplicate enemy heroes:
Skills
- Tri-shot (primary fire mode) – Echo fires 3 floors at once in a triangle.
- Sticky Bombs (secondary fire mode) – Echo fires a volley of sticky bombs that explode after a short time.
- Flight (Shift) – Echo storms forward and can fly freely for a short time.
- Bundled Beam (E) – Echo channels a beam for a few seconds, dealing very high damage to enemies that have less than half their hit points.
- Duplicate (Ultimate Ability) – Echo duplicates an enemy hero and gains access to their abilities.
- Gliding flight (passive) – Echo can glide when falling.
