Good news PC, PS5: the best sim racing wheels available for pre-order
After a long wait for simracing enthusiasts, the next Fanatec steering wheel will soon be on the market. Still pre-ordered, it will arrive in a few weeks for the most experienced riders.
Podium Racing Wheel F1, one wheel above the other
The wheel of the steering wheel is based on a Formula 1 design and has 11 buttons, 2 switches, 3 notched rotary switches and a directional cross and a joystick. That’s all for the front, but the rear isn’t left out with 3 pallets on each side. 4 of these are notched and the other 2 are for the clutch if you don’t want to use a dedicated module.
Compatibility is one of the strengths of this model. It is in fact the only one that can be used with PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox series consoles. Be careful with the latter though, you’ll need to get a special steering wheel separately if you plan to take advantage of the podium.
All games tested by JV were recognized and all functions worked on both PC and PlayStation. Of course, the design is very reminiscent of what we find in F1, but of course the steering wheel is usable with many other games such as Gran Turismo 7 or Dirt 5. However, it will be more convenient to choose a different steering wheel regularly if you want to play games like GT7.
The Direct Drive technology, the power of the base and the wide compatibility allow an experience, a control capacity and extraordinary sensations.

If you have never practiced simracing and want to start, we do not advise you to turn to this product. There are many other cheaper options that are more than enough to discover the joy of driving. However, if budget isn’t an issue, it’s up to you to get the best.
On the contrary, those who already have experience in this universe will be amazed. Those who already have a few kilometers in their paws and are impatiently awaiting the arrival of this little gem.
When it comes to the price, Fanatec doesn’t give itself gifts and we don’t expect anything less from the German manufacturer. You can pre-order the podium now for the modest amount of $1,799, with the official arrival scheduled for May 31, 2022.
