At the State of Play events, Sony usually shows the latest blockbusters for the PlayStation consoles. At the presentation held on March 9, 2022, however, almost exclusively games were presented that are also to be released for the PC.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R

Based on the manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, this beat ’em up is a completely renewed version of the original game from 2013. You fight with 50 characters from the work of Japanese artist Hirohiko Araki.
The new game is said to offer 6 different game modes and advanced gameplay. Among other things, the combat speed has been adjusted, and hit stops and quick jumps for dodging have been added. Of course there are also a lot of new combos, and you can also customize your characters with skins.
Gundam Evolution

In Gundam Evolution, shooter fans compete against each other in powerful mecha suits

With Gundam Evolution, a free2play shooter in first person was announced: This is based on the eponymous Japanese sci-fi universe Gundam, which has humanoid, human-controlled robots at its center.
You also take control of these mobile suits in Gundam Evolution and fight for different objectives in action-packed six-on-six battles. You can choose different units that are characterized by unique abilities and characteristics and thus adapt to the battle conditions.
You can also use an additional engine to cover short distances extremely quickly, and occasionally activate a powerful ability that depends on the chosen unit. You should be able to use both to your tactical advantage to outplay your opponents.
The DioField Chronicle

The tactical role-playing game The DioField Chronicle is intended to offer a profound story with many characters. The detailed environments of the island of DioField are inspired by fantasy, medieval and modern influences.
In the tactical real-time battles, you have to play to the strengths of your units in order to win. You also have to use classes, skills and equipment cleverly. There is also a new combat system that is said to require a lot of strategic thinking.
TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection

13 Turtles classics return to screens with TMNT: Cowabunga Collection

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is not a new game, but a collection of 13 older games all about the well-known turtles. These come from from the arcade era, the Nintendo Entertainment System, the Super NES, the Sega Genesis and the Nintendo Gameboy
so there’s a lot of nostalgia involved.
The games have been optimized for modern systems and expanded with additional functions. Some games now have online and local multiplayer. There are also new game modes, HD textures, button mapping and additional media content.
Valkyrie Elysium

In Valkyrie Elysium you save the world from destruction as Odin’s emissary

As a Valkyrie and messenger of the Norse god Odin, you have to save the world again in the next part of the Valkyrie series. All sorts of enemies stand in your way, from humans to dragons and other monsters.
You defeat them with the special attacks and combos known from the series, which are combined into a new combat system in Elysium. In addition, the so-called Einherjar – recruitable warriors – will help you in battle. In Valkyrie Elysium you should experience an epic story about Ragnarök, i.e. the end of the world, and travel through beautiful surroundings.
Exoprimal

Exoprimal – Co-op action featuring exosuits and herds of dinosaurs announced

Today’s forecast: Heavy dinosaur rain. In Exoprimal, as a team of five players, you face off against hordes of raptors and other dinosaurs pouring down onto earth from strange portals. Of course, there are also classics like the Triceratops and the T-Rex.
You fight in various exo-suits that fulfill classic roles: For example, there is a bulky suit that can withstand a lot, a melee fighter, and armor equipped with many weapons that can mow down whole hordes of opponents.
Primarily a co-op game, Exoprimal also contains competitive elements: there are always two teams dispatched to fight the primeval threat, and only one of them can survive.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

Ghostwire: Tokyo isn’t strictly a horror game, but it’s definitely going to be spooky. Travel to Japan in the action adventure from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. There you investigate the causes of a mysterious mass disappearance, behind which there are probably supernatural powers.
We’ve already seen an hour of gameplay from publisher Bethesda’s new IP and were very surprised by the action-packed battles. We also asked developer Mikami about horror in an exclusive interview:

As ordinary New Yorkers, Forspoken takes us unexpectedly into a dark fantasy world. There she learns to use magical powers and uses them to fight all kinds of monsters and dangerous creatures. In the new trailer we also see our heroine fighting a dragon. The magic she used for this particularly impressed us in a developer presentation – more than the open world:

In Gigabash you become a huge, city-destroying monster, or compete with a mecha against one. In four-player arenas, you compete either in teams of two or without allies and virtually brawl your way through destructible environments. Those who cause a lot of chaos can then evolve into an even stronger form.
In the trailer, the developers are now showing their latest monstrosity: Rawa, the fire-breathing dragon king.
Trek to Yomi

In Trek to Yomi you play as the young swordsman Hiroki, who swore to his dying master to protect his city and loved ones from all dangers.
The action-adventure promises a presentation in the style of classic samurai films, which also explains the presentation in black and white. Experience a story of failure and redemption while fighting humans and supernatural beings using the traditional weapons of a samurai.
The new trailer reveals more about the story of Trek to Yomi, but also shows the brutal combat of the samurai adventure.
