April Pokemon Go Community Day will be the first since the pandemic began lasting just three hours instead of six.
According to Niantic, it’s reverting to a three-hour event, as apparently only 5% of players were involved for more than three hours. In addition, the company says people don’t go out at the same time for longer events, which obviously doesn’t foster a sense of community, as few people are there at the same time to “play together and connect outside.”
“In 2020, we’ve doubled the length of our Community Day event from three to six hours,” Niantic said. “However, since then, we have found that only 5% of trainers tend to participate in activities longer than three hours.
“One of the biggest positive feedback we received after the Three Hour Community Day Classic in January was that players and community leaders noticed more community outings and activities during the event. So, for Stuful Community Day, We’re back to the three-hour format. We hope this will create more opportunities for trainers to play together and connect with the outside world as they explore.”
Niantic went on to say that because players love the extra resources collected during longer events, it’s adding some “new and exciting” perks to the Stufful Community Day so players can collect as many as possible over the course of the game. resource.
This includes team play bonuses that will unlock additional bonuses at specific locations. If the trainer catches enough Pokemon from a Lure, the 3x XP bonus for catching Pokemon near a Lure PokeStop will increase to 4x XP for 30 minutes. Note that this does not stack with the base 3x capture XP bonus, but replaces it for the duration.
For Stuful Community Day will take place on Saturday, April 23rd from 2pm to 5pm local time. This is when Flailing Pokémon Stufful will make his debut in Pokemon GO. Stufful will appear in the wild, and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny.
If you evolve Stufful during or up to two hours after the event, you’ll get a Bewear that knows the Charged Attack Drain Punch. I suggest you toss a golden pineapple each time to earn more candies, as it takes 400 candies to evolve Stufful into Bewear.
Event rewards include 3 × Catch XP, 2 × Catch Candy, 2 × chance to get Stufful XL Candy, incense sticks activated during the event will last for three hours, and bait modules activated during the event will last for three hours. You’ll want to take some snaps during Community Day for a surprise, and there’s an additional special deal available during and two hours after the event, up to twice a day. Trades made during the event and two hours after the event will require a 50% reduction in Stardust.
You’ll be able to get the Community Day Special Research Story: Something Powerful for $1.
There will also be a special one-time purchase Community Day Box for 850 PokeCoins, which contains 15 Ultra Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, 1 Elite Fast TM and 1 Remote Raid Pass. The store will offer a bundle of 30 Ultra Balls for free.
