Actually, both Redfall and Starfield should have been released in 2022, but Bethesda postponed both titles to the new year 2023 relatively early on. At least in one case, a fairly specific release period could now be set.
A new report from the usually well-informed colleagues at Windows Central now brings a concrete release period for the Xbox-exclusive shooter Redfall from Arkane Studios into play. Accordingly, Bethesda is targeting a release of the title in the first week of May 2023.
The co-op shooter has never had a specific release date since its original announcement as part of the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase at E3 2021 – but according to information from colleagues, that seems to be changing, at least internally. Accordingly, the developers would have planned an earlier release in the coming year, but ultimately decided to postpone it again.
An internally planned release in March 2023 was said goodbye; the publication is now scheduled to take place around six weeks later in early May, according to the unspecified sources Windows Central
Before the well-known Windows Central insider Jez Corden confirmed the supposed May date, Okami13 had reported via Twitter that Redfall had been postponed internally by another six weeks.
It also says that Redfall should get an early access period in some form – similar to the early access to the premium editions of Forza Horizon 5. Anyone who accesses such a game version should be able to start in Redfall a few days earlier.
