Will PCs and consoles soon become obsolete? Cloud gaming services are on the rise and now you can do it without any additional hardware, at least with the new Samsung televisions.
Samsung had already announced it, now it’s here. The new Samsung Gaming Hub is available now on all 2022 Samsung TV models, and it’s free. The new Gaming Hub combines a whole range of cloud gaming services, including Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce NOW and Google Stadia. Amazon Luna will follow at a later date.
A little note on this after we were informed by Samsung Switzerland: The Gaming Hub is not yet available in Switzerland f or the time being and will appear at a later date. Fire free in Germany, you can start there immediately.
The Gaming Hub also includes media apps like Twitch, YouTube, and Spotify. With cloud gaming services, it is now possible to play games directly on the television without having to use additional hardware such as PCs, consoles or tablets.
The 2022 Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, QLEDs and Smart Monitor Series 2022 TVs are included in the first launch of the technology. It’s unclear if Samsung plans to include some popular 2021 models as well.
Competitor LG has also started adding cloud gaming services, including GeForce NOW and more.
