Several well-known developers from Gearbox have left the studio together.
Seven senior executives at Gearbox, Who works Borderlands 3 And other projects in the studio, have left the company. After the report, Gearbox confirmed the news to Axios.
The list includes creative director Paul Sage, UX/game feel director Chris Strasz, lead character artist Kevin Penrod, senior producer Christopher Brock, lead mission designer Keith Schuler, art director Scott Kester, and another unnamed team member. Some of these names have been working in the studio for more than ten years.
According to reports, almost everyone is working on an unannounced pre-production project. According to reports, some people in the studio are happy that “fresh blood” will now replace them to lead the project.
Randy Pitchford, the founder of Gearbox, stated that they will leave “on the best terms” and clarified that this will not cause any major interference with the development of the project, nor will it affect the project.
