How long does the free promotion run? The start is today, on April 27th, at 7 p.m. The promotion ends on Friday, May 1st, also at 7 p.m.
When does the Total War Sale start on Steam? The discount campaigns start at 7 p.m. today and run until 4 May at 7 p.m.
Which games are included in the sale? According to the announcement on the official blog, "selected historical" Total Wars and DLCs are part of the sale. In Shogun 2, released in 2011, the strategy series returned to its origins – in ancient Japan. We gave an 87 in the test back then, because it was until then roundest total war experience bot. We particularly liked the campaign, in which you take over one of nine Japanese clans. We rated the replay value very high because each clan poses different challenges.
The Reich administration was streamlined and made it even more fun. A special innovation was that you were able to specialize your agents for the first time: everyone was given their own talent tree, in which you could turn ninjas into assassins or saboteurs.
