To help celebrate the launch The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Splatoon 3 A special Legend of Zelda-themed Splatfest is being held.

We’re less than a month away from the release of Tears of the Kingdom, and now that the Splatoons have those special three-color races, what better time to host a Splatfest than a Zelda and Triforce-themed Splatfest? Nintendo announced Splatfest on its official Twitter account, and this one asks you to choose between Triforce, Strength, Wisdom, or Courage – but it’s really about choosing Ganondorf, Zelda, or Link.

Splatfest will take place from May 6th to May 8th, starting at 1am UK time and ending at 1am UK time. Interestingly, this event also set up a triangular stage specially designed for the three-color battle. It’s, you guessed it, the Triforce, which also appears to be composed of other smaller Triforces. it’s so cute! While it may seem small, expect some serious competition if you’re planning on attending this particular Splatfest next month.

On the Nintendo website, there are also some actual T-shirts on display featuring each team’s artwork for you to choose from, which you can buy from the Nintendo Store. The Fresh Season update, released last month, added more weapons, gear, emotes, and online play to the in-game card game Tableturf.

Earlier this week, Nintendo also gave us the third and final pre-release trailer for Tears of Kingdoms, offering another big and dramatic look at the upcoming sequel. For one, we finally see Ganondorf in his rehydrated (and fairly naked and muscular) glory, along with new costumes, new characters, and new mysteries. A TV spot for the game also leaked recently, showing off some small clips that haven’t been seen in other trailers.
