Just when you think it couldn’t get any more quirky, an indie developer pops up with another idea that’s kind of silly, but has potential for some silly fun.
Being on the road as an animal hero is quite a lot of fun for many players – be it serious like in Stray as a cat, or rather bizarre like in Goat Simulator. Apparently Daniel DeEntremont thought so too, and created the utterly quirky Squirrel with a Gun. And yes, you get that right, you play a heavily armed squirrel.
Sounds absurd, but it’s actually a sandbox game with a focus on exploration and, of course, shooting. Among other things, you have to defend yourself against agents with various weapons or defeat or disarm them in close combat. There are also platform elements, including the ability to use weapon recoil to overcome obstacles.
Sounds absolutely absurd, but – based on the first trailer – looks quite fun. Could this give Goat Simulator’s goats some furry competition?
