The Bad Batch season 2
After a first season in 2021, The Bad Batch returns for new adventures in 2023. As a reminder, the animated series follows a group of genetically engineered clones very different from the rest, aptly named Bad Batch. As the storyline takes place after the events of the Clone Wars, these soldiers must find a new purpose that leads them to become mercenaries while the Empire is in its early days. It must be said that they refused to carry out Admiral Wilhuff Tarkin’s orders, which earned them the pursuit of Stormtroopers. A series that therefore addresses an interesting aspect, namely what happens to the clones after the end of the war, now that they no longer have a purpose and most of them are “disabled”.

The Mandalorian Season 3
More than three years after the second season aired, the most popular series in the Star Wars universe returns with a third installment. In the meantime, if we had the right to a project from this story with The Book of Boba Fett, we find Din Djarin, aka the Mandalorian, always accompanied by Grogu, aka “Baby Yoda” on new adventures across the galaxy. From what we could see in the first trailer, the plots of the second season will have a big impact on this sequel. Din Djarin’s decision to remove his helmet will weigh heavily on the other Mandalorians, who will cast him out of their community. But as usual we are left with an adventure that will take us on a journey through different planets, all in a context where the Empire has recently been defeated and the New Republic is living its first d ays.

visions season 2
Vision, an ambitious and amazing project set in the Star Wars universe, is an anthology series of episodes telling different stories and animated by several Japanese animation studios. Given the success of the first season, it’s not too surprising that the show has been renewed for a second part, albeit with a few changes compared to what we’ve seen before. First of all, not all season 2 episodes will have an anime rendering like the first and other animation studios around the world are being solicited. Among the countries mentioned we find Chile as well as England, Ireland, France and even India. In an interview with Deadline, executive producer James Waugh said that the goal of Star Wars Visions is to tell a story that reflects what Star Wars means to the culture of the countries where these episodes take place, but also that they represent the myths and stories that come from these lands.

Ahsoka
Long announced, the Ahsoka series is finally scheduled to air on Disney+ from 2023. A particularly popular character from the expanded Star Wars universe, Ahsoka is none other than Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan, whom we got a glimpse of at launch in the Clone Wars animated series, then in Rebels before the Jedi made theirs in The Mandalorian season 2 first live-action appearance. As in this series, the Togruta is played by Rosario Dawson. At the moment we don’t yet know what the scenario of the show will be, other than that, like all projects related to The Mandalorian, it is set to take place after the events of Star Wars VI: The Return of the Jedi. And while we’re still not entitled to a trailer, you can still catch a preview dedicated to the shows that will land on Disney+ in 2023 in the trailer below.
Skeleton Crew
We’re wrapping up this overview of Star Wars projects on Disney+ in 2023 with another series from The Mandalorian: Skeleton Crew. But for now we have to admit that we don’t know much about it. First, the show is set to take place after the events of Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi, like everything else based on The Mandalorian. Then in creation we find Jon Watts, a director known to Marvel fans since he helmed the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy. Another key element, actor Jude Law, appears to be taking the lead in the series. But story-wise, we know it was meant to be a “galactic take on classic ’80s adventure movies à la Amblin Entertainment,” i. H. The Company of Produced by Steven Spielberg. So we can’t wait to find out more!
