This year, Star Wars: The Old Republic will celebrate its 10th anniversary – and you can also let off steam in a comprehensive new Sith expansion.
The long-standing online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic is still being supplied with fresh content by BioWare almost ten years after the original PC release. With “Legacy of the Sith”, the developer studio announced the next big add-on, which should be available in autumn / winter 2021.
The last expansion for the game, “Knights of the Eternal Throne”, dates back to 2016 and was a long time ago. Since the title still has a loyal and large community, today’s add-on confirmation is certainly very good news for many gamers, especially since they can expect a whole range of fresh content.
“Legacy of the Sith” takes up the storyline about the Sith Darth Malgus, which you already know from earlier expansions. According to BioWare Austin, the hunt for the Sith Lord will take you to new planets, including the water planet Manaan and a very hilly planet. Several operations on a research station in space are also on board.
In terms of gameplay, you can look forward to a new fighting style mechanic, which you can use to customize how your characters approach a fight and specifically take advantage of the mix of different classes. The user interface is also to be further optimized, for example with regard to equipping items. The character editor will receive an update and the level cap will be increased by 5 to level 80.
There is currently no specific release date. Star Wars: The Old Republic is available for PC.
