Tales Of Arise takes us into the story of Dahna and Rena, two neighboring planets. Dahna’s fate changes when Rena’s warriors invade her and enslave the entire population.
Under the thumb of Rena’s slavery, the game lets you play as a mysterious amnesia character who wears an iron mask and cannot feel pain. Disgusted by the living conditions of the Dahnians, he decides to join the resistance. He meets a young woman, Shionne, who cannot be spoken to without being electrocuted.

At the end of that first handle, Tales of Arise seemed to have all the keys in hand to celebrate a real revival in the Tales of series. Its dark and serious universe, in contrast to the lighter tones of the previous episodes, makes you want to know more and see how the exposed subjects are treated. With the switch to Unreal Engine 4, the title benefits from a significantly more impressive graphic display than its predecessor and, despite some pitfalls, really gives the feeling of dealing with a next-gen game. The combat system stays true to the identity of the series by offering fast and nervous battles that gain intensity thanks to the introduction of new mechanics. So many elements that are good for a title that definitely promises to be one of the most anticipated games of the fall.
