There were many cool technology trends to marvel at at the CES in Las Vegas. We’ll show you our five highlights.
The world’s largest trade fair for consumer electronics, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), has been home to the technology trends of tomorrow since 1967. In 2024, too, many manufacturers took the opportunity to present some amazing concepts in Las Vegas. The latest smart TVs were – in the truest sense – a real eye-catcher for your own four walls. TCL, for example, has shown a huge 115-inch model that could make the projector obsolete.
In addition, the new vacuum robot introductions were also really exciting. For example, Roborock has presented the S8 MaxV Ultra, a well-thought-out model with extreme performance, and Ecovacs has also presented its upcoming household helpers.
But of course that’s not all – this year’s trade fair was full of announcements that made quite a few people’s jaws drop. But maybe only with the flying car – humanity’s dream par excellence. Let’s start with this and then look at four other trade fair highlights.
-
“eVTOL” by Xpeng Aeroht: The dream of flying travel
-
Mirokai: A hospital robot with a manga look
-
LG OLED: Transparent and (almost) without cables
-
Childhood dream: Carrera hybrid racetrack without rails
-
MSI Claw: New attack on the Steam Deck
“eVTOL” by Xpeng Aeroht: The dream of flying travel
The company Xpeng Aeroht presented its flying sports car “eVTOL” at CES – what a thing! The eVTOL looks like a futuristic super sports car, but transforms into an aircraft at the push of a button. The flying car isn’t quite finished yet, but at least the manufacturer showed the transformation at the trade fair. You can take a look at the eVTOL in detail in the YouTube video embedded below.
Anyone who thinks that the whole thing is still a distant dream is wrong. The company plans to accept pre-orders at the end of this year and the first vehicles could be delivered next year. However, flying with a conventional driving license is unlikely to be allowed; a pilot’s license will certainly be required.
