End of suspense, Square Enix has just dated its only Summer Game Fest 2022 conference, which will be entirely dedicated to announcements surrounding Final Fantasy VII.
Square Enix had promised announcements for Final Fantasy 7’s 25th anniversary and we now know when it will happen. Fans of this and its derivatives won’t have to wait long to find out if FF7 Remake 2 will step in there.
FF7 Remake 2 shown on June 16th?
The meeting is scheduled for Friday, June 17th at midnight sharp with an extended name showcase. The Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary broadcast is an opportunity to discover all the latest news about the game and its offshoots. We will for sure see the mobile game FF7 Ever Crisis that retraces all the events of Final Fantasy 7 and its side episodes like Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core in chibi sauce. The First Soldier, the battle royale available on smartphones, is also set to present new content.
But what fans are waiting for is a possible teaser or even a trailer of FF7 Remake 2. The opportunity would be perfect to give news about the second part of the adventures of Cloud and his gang reinterpreted progress of development. Final Fantasy 7 Remake should also announce the end of its PlayStation console exclusivity and the Xbox Series and Xbox One versions should be revealed. In any case, an announcement seems to be on the way. In addition to the games, Square Enix should also unveil plenty of goodies for the most die-hard fans and maybe a few other surprises. In any case, the conference will be very short: not more than ten minutes, “but with a lot of information,” promises Testuya Nomura, director of Final Fantasy 7.
