The movie Silent Hill is still being shown and discussed, and it looks extremely promising. In any case, fans should enjoy it. Horror and fidelity to the original are at the heart of this new feature film.
Right after the State of Play, Konami gave us a small presentation of some of its projects. In reality, it only talked about Silent Hill 2 Remake and the movie. Bloober’s game showed itself very well in a nearly 15-minute gameplay sequence that is hot and cold. Christophe Gans’s movie, for its part, looks extremely promising.
The movie Return to Silent Hill looks very promising!
The director, who was already quite successful behind the camera in the very first film, used this small event to talk to us again about his next feature film Return to Silent Hill. The latter, like the remake, will pick up the main threads of Silent Hill 2. We will therefore accompany James Silverhands (played by Jeremy Irvine, already seen in other horror films) as he goes in search of his wife in the dark city of Silent Hill. . Bad luck, not everything goes as planned on site. A thick fog covers the city and creatures roam its streets. Between madness and nightmare, James must not only survive, but also try to understand what is happening.
Christophe Gans, a true fan of the franchise, is once again keen to remain faithful to the original work. He even goes back to the sources of horror and wants to avoid digital effects as much as possible. The monsters, for example, are all played by actors and actresses, some of whom specialize in contortion. The first visuals are certainly very promising, even if we can only see part of the sets or a few notable scenes. As the icing on the cake, the legendary Akira Yamaoka, composer, director and producer of the first games of the cult license, will also be there. Enough again to satisfy purists.
The film does not have a release date yet, but Return to Silent Hill It shouldn’t be long now before we release a trailer. We’re keeping our fingers crossed.
