In short, the game is very beautiful and promises several dozen hours of gameplay. However, not everything is rosy and it is starting to show.
The first descendant is accused of plagiarism?
After being highlighted for its pay-to-fast economic model, which was unavailable during our preview phases, the game is now being attacked for plagiarism. Would the game have pumped a little too much on one of the biggest serving games of the moment? To support his statements, the author has created a comparison table that speaks for itself. Some icons are barely retouched. In addition, some weapon designs are also very, very inspired by some Destiny 2 weapons.
Too strong inspiration?
An accusation that doesn’t really surprise the community, as many players have also noticed very (too?) similarities with Warframe. A connection that our good old Geralt also noticed in his preview.
Here too, the inspirations are clearly visible, perhaps even too great. At the moment, Nexon has not commented on this topic and at the time of writing, no one from Bungie or Digital Extremes has commented either. Coincidental similarity? Too strong inspiration or outright plagiarism? Good question.
We remember that Palworld also weathered a real storm when several users noticed similarities between the design of its creatures and certain Pokémon. But the game is doing very well and Nintendo ultimately never attacked the studio.
