Blizzard is once again dancing the Diablo dance with its fans and promising an actually desired improvement, which still satisfies very few people. This time it’s about the planned patch 1.3.2 for Diablo 4, which will be installed on February 13th.
This patch finally makes it possible craft the most powerful items in the entire game yourself. From Tuesday you can theoretically decide for yourself which super-unique item you actually want. In theory. In practice, many fans still feel ripped off because only a small part of the community benefits from it.
This is how Uber uniques will soon be made
But first let’s get to the specific change. In the provisionally released patch notes Regarding the upcoming hotfix, the first thing that will be discussed is the change to these extremely rare items. Here’s how you’ll soon be able to craft uber-unique gear:
- You can have over-unique items dismantled by the alchemist and then receive the new resource Magnificent Sparks.
- If you have a total of 5 Magnificent Sparks in your bag, you can use them to craft an uber-unique item of your choice.
- However, there is no preview of the possible affixes of the desired item.
The uber-unique items include the Doombringer, the Grandfather, the Molten Heart of Selig, Andariel’s Face, the Harlequin Crown, the Ring of the Starless Skies, and Ahavarion, Staff of Lycander. The seven unique items are extremely rare – but can now be farmed by defeating Über-Duriel.
According to the developers, this change is intended for more Freedom to receive
Because players are frustrated, the same Uber unique should drop several times.

Fans are still dissatisfied
Even if such a change sounds like a good idea in principle and fans have certainly wanted to use their double over-items, the implementation is still extremely difficult. Because you need five Magnificent Sparks to craft a single Uber Unique. In total, you have to use five useless Uber Uniques to receive a single one in exchange
For most fans, this change won’t help at all, as the chance of getting a single Über-Item is grotesquely low, even with Über-Duriel. There are reports from peoplewho have laid Duriel hundreds of times without receiving a single one. So only the absolute hardcore fans will benefit from this new crafting mechanicwho exclusively destroy Duriel all day long.
The patch notes also say that the drop chance of these items has been increased outside of the Duriel boss fight, but since the probability was even lower here anyway, no one expects it to be much easier to get these coveted objects in the future.
What else does the patch change?
In addition to this somewhat controversial change to the uniques, there will also be other changes to the game on February 13th, which primarily fix various errors in various areas of the game. For example, there are a few bugs during the Lunar Awakening seasonal event that are now being fixed. A number of bugs are also being fixed in the current third season.
