Crunchyroll continues to hit hard. Not content with finding some of the best exclusives in the field, the platform continues to add the full length of the most popular anime of all time.
While the war between series and cinemas dedicated to SVOD platforms is getting fiercer, otakus don’t have to worry so much. The advent of Crunchyroll has undermined all competition. Only the French company ADN still manages to hold its own, occasionally snagging a few exclusives. For example, it has got its hands on the most legendary anime of all: Dragon Ball. Determined not to give in, its rival is finally managing to fight back.

For Crunchyroll, letting an anime as iconic as Dragon Ball fall under its nose is not a question. The SVOD platform made a surprise earlier this month with an announcement that immediately delighted those who felt nostalgic for the 80s, like all manga lovers. After ADN, the orange brand in turn included the complete DBZ in its catalog, but had no plans to stop there. Now it’s the turn of its suite to follow in its footsteps. Dragon Ball Super is now available in VO and VF on Crunchyroll.
As a reminder, the anime takes place a few years after the end of DBZ. While Goku and his friends were living a good life, a mysterious deity will come and disrupt their daily lives. The Sayan will have to fight one by one and discover an unsuspected strength. Dragon Ball Super is far from being unanimous, which is due to the animations considered too cheap and the new transformations that did not always resonate in the eyes of early fans. However, you will have to wait a few more days for the complete Dragon Ball anime series to arrive on the platform. A little off in the chronology, GT will be available on Crunchyroll from Friday, July 26. Also note that the catalog should include DBZ Kai, the edited and remastered version of the anime. Incidentally, Dragon Ball Daima, the last series supervised by Akira Toriyama before his death, should make news at the end of the month. A release date should finally be announced, in the hope that we will finally know who will distribute it in France.
