While Superbike fans have feasted at the top since 2012 and the release of SBK Generations, the series finally makes a comeback this year. We are entitled to a first follower.
We didn’t expect it anymore, but the Superbike is back. While Milestone and Dorna (who own the rights to most of the championships) have focused on MotoGP and the various gravel disciplines such as MXGP or AMA Supercross, the WSBK is coming back from the dead. It must be said that the last installment in the series, WSBK Generations, was released in 2012 and the championship has not appeared in a video game since then.
SBK 22 will therefore allow us to dive into the official 2022 SBK World Championship through a career mode that includes Trials, Superpoles and Races. Of course we find all the circuits of the championship, the teams and their drivers. Gameplay level, since all slightly more serious motorbike games come from the Italian pharmacy, we suspect Milestone knows how to do it.
Thus, thanks to the collaboration with Pirelli, we are promised lifelike tire wear, but also particularly fine fuel management, which affects the weight and balance of the bike. Opposite us we find the AI ANNA, which we have seen in other Milestone productions and which will therefore find its way into SBK 22. We are also entitled to the classic customization options of the Italian studio’s productions.
Regulars will find a sticker, helmet, number, and even butt patch editor. Better you know that the multiplayer mode with online races up to 12 players has not been forgotten. The best news in all of this? SBK 22 will be released on September 15th, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X.
