The AMC series “The Walking Dead” will soon celebrate its grand finale. Will we even see Rick Grimes and his wife Michonne in it again? It would be possible.
- “The Walking Dead” is almost over, only the final scene is not fixed yet.
- A post-credits scene would be perfect to introduce the Rick and Michonne spin-off.
- It would also be a round conclusion to the main series.

Although “The Walking Dead” season 11 has already been filmed, one thing still seems undecided: the last scene of the AMC series.
Will it be a time warp like in the comics? Or will we even get a taste of the Rick Grimes and Michonne spin-off?
Of course, TWD content boss Scott M. Gimple is mysterious again when he is asked about it. In an interview with US-Magazin Entertainment Weekly
In the “The Walking Dead” universe, however, a post-credit scene has already been used to introduce the plot of a spin-off. “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” ended with a scene showing a French laboratory where the undead probably found their origin. The same lab that Dr. Edwin Jenner already mentioned in the first season of TWD.
We now know that the spin-off about Daryl Dixon will play in France and will probably take up exactly this topic. A post-credits scene in the finale of “The Walking Dead” would be perfect for introducing what is probably the most anticipated Rick Grimes spin-off.
Showing Rick and Michonne back in the normal plot of part 3 of season 11 of “The Walking Dead” would probably distract too much from the main plot around the Commonwealth. A post-credit scene would be the easiest for the series makers to implement.
Of course, the spin-off “The Walking Dead: Dead City” could also be introduced, but ending the parent series with a scene involving Rick Grimes would be so much more appropriate since the series also started with a Rick scene.
The Walking Dead Season 11, Part 3 premieres on October 2, 2022 in the US on AMC. The final episode will air on November 20, 2022. In this country you can see the new episodes again a day later in the Disney + streaming offer.
