Ok, Civilization 6 is quite a few years old. For many fans, it’s not even the best part of the series. But even a solid Civ is still an excellent global strategy game.
When you start the game for the first time, you will be greeted with a epic anthem welcomed, which immediately makes you want to claim a triumphant scientific or cultural victory. But what is Civilization 6 all about?
The well-known game principle is of course also used here: As the leader of a nation, you lead it from the Stone Age to the present day and beyond. Diplomacy, research and constant expansion are of course in the foreground again.
In contrast to the extremely popular fifth part, there are some nice innovations: Cities can be expanded with districts, and units can be merged for more concentrated firepower from the Industrial Age onwards.
If you’ve never played a Civilization, now would be the perfect time – especially since Civ 6 is also the most beginner-friendly branch of the series to date.
