Developing a game the size of a The Witcher 3 is quite a challenge. It is not surprising that there are a lot of bugs. However, not every one of these bugs can be easily cleaned up. Fortunately, it doesn't always have to be.
As quest designer Philipp Weber from CD Projekt RED told us in a live interview on our streaming channel MAX, there are also creative solutions for some problems. For example there is at least one chest in the game that shouldn't be there at all.

"That looks like intention"
Specifically, it is about a chest on top of the tower of the Reueninsel. If you contest Keira Metz's quest series, you will get there as part of the (very exciting) task »A Tower Full of Rats«.
During the live stream, Philipp Weber explains how he was able to repeatedly push the game mechanics so far during development that he reached the top, although this was never actually intended. However, the developers could not easily solve this glitch.
"It wasn't that easy to fix, so someone (the developer) just put a chest in there if a player can do it."
Shortly thereafter, senior level designer Miles Tost added how a developer can occasionally trick around such To hide mistakes.
"That's the great thing. If you have such bugs, there are sometimes several solutions. Either you prevent the player from going anywhere, or you give up and say: 'ok, the player can go there. Then pack we loot a bit there and then it looks as if it was intended. "https://www.gamestar.de/"
During development, however, occurred many, many more bugs on. Sometimes even strange errors have arisen that could be used to fill your own article. And we even did that.
