In 2024, the developers of Payday 3 want to implement as many fan wishes as possible.

Single player and offline mode: The new mode will appear in two phases. A single player mode will be added initially, but it still requires an internet connection. Some time later, another update will be released that will allow you to play without the Internet.
Challenge based progression: The challenges are mostly removed and replaced with a progression system tied to heist completions. The remaining challenge framework will be used in the future to obtain some special cosmetic items.
