Game News Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2: A remaster announced by Vicarious Visions in video
The 20-year-old Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series seemed to be waiting, after a fifth installment that very largely disappointed. Today, during an announcement orchestrated by Geoff Keighley, we discovered Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
The title is a remaster of the first two games of the license, but players can expect many improvements, both in terms of handling, especially due to the presence of analog sticks, as the famous quality of life. Expected September 4, 2020
The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game series is an important factor in the evolution of tricks in modern skateboarding and has inspired many professional skateboarders that you know and love today. I am delighted to help a new generation of skateboarders and players – as well as existing fans – to further develop this sport.
On the side of Vicarious Visions, it's Jen Oneal, director of the studio, who speaks on this remaster:
Having the chance to revive the two original games that had such a significant impact not only on the world of video games, but also on an entire sport, was an epic experience for our team, many of whom have worked on the original series. We've taken what you know and love from the original games and paired it with improved creative tools that will allow players to invent new ways to play the game they love so much. We are confident that this will be the ultimate Tony Hawk's Pro Skater experience that fans are asking for.
