Ubisoft star wars The title might not be in a galaxy far, far away. In fact, it may be orbiting the Milky Way as we speak.
In other words, according to sources who spoke to Kotaku, the game isn’t too far away from launch.
In its latest presentation to investors, Ubisoft noted that its 2023-24 lineup will include new releases from big brands and enduring live titles (slide 14).
These include Assassin’s Creed Phantom, Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier, Rainbow Six Mobile, Skull and Bones, The Crew, The Division, XDefiant and “Another Big Game” game”.
According to Kotaku’s sources, the Star Wars title is what Ubisoft calls a “big game.”
As we all know, Project Helix, announced in 2021, is an open-world game co-developed with The Division maker Ubisoft Massive. According to Kotaku’s sources, the game is “not going well,” and while the company has ambitions to release a Star Wars game this fiscal year, it likely won’t happen.
This means the game will likely be released during the company’s next fiscal year, which will run from April 2024 until March 2025. That still puts it in the 2024 release window – if it doesn’t slip into March 2025 after Christmas. You just never know.
Last year, Ubisoft was looking for people in or near Malmö, Sweden, to test out a Star Wars title. Beyond that, as well as the original announcement, no further information was provided about the title.
That may change next month when the company will host a Ubisoft Forward livestream on June 12. More information on the display is expected to be provided ahead of the event.
