According to reports, Sony will take a different approach to exclusive games when the PS5 launches.
Microsoft has made it clear that players should not expect Xbox Series X exclusive games for at least a year after the Xbox console is launched.
Although the news is disappointing for some, it is a more realistic goal than working on exclusive sales of the X Series from the start. However, Sony seems to be entering the next generation with a different mindset.
Kotaku's Jason Schreier revealed in a recent Splitscreen podcast that Sony will launch an exclusive PS5 game at launch.
According to Schreier, Microsoft has always been committed to making its games available on as many devices as possible, at least early.
It is expected that third-party games will be available on both generations of consoles. Schreier dropped the next Assassin's Creed game as a classic example of a large budget cross-generation game coming this year.
