Valorant: Open Beta now accessible to all console players

The console version of Valorant on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S is known to be tested as part of a beta phase, but this was previously reserved for registered and selected players. But that is now changing, because Riot Games has made the beta public.

The beta on consoles originally started on June 14th with a limited group of players. At that time it was also confirmed that there would be no cross-play with the PC in order to avoid unequal competition. However, there is still cross-progression between the individual game versions.

On PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Valorant will receive some changes compared to the PC version to ensure a smooth and seamless experience on consoles as well. The system called “Focus” will work similarly to “Hip Fire” on the PC. In addition, the abilities of individual characters have been adjusted for the console to work better with a controller.
