As part of the TennoCon 2021 fan event, Digital Extremes has announced a whole bunch of new features that will be released in the foreseeable future, including cross-play and cross-save.
Warframe has been popular for years. Mainly because the developers keep working on the game, improving it technically and not exactly stingy when it comes to new content. At the TennoCon 2021, the official fan event, further innovations were announced, about which the fans are certainly anything but sad.
Among other things, it was confirmed that cross-play and cross-save will celebrate their entry into the game this year. An exact date has not yet been announced, but fans don’t have to wait too long for it. Cross-play will be possible between the following platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One. Apparently a mobile version of the game is also in the works, announced as Warframe: The Full Experience with the note “running on mobile” and also part of the cross-play.
Apart from that, a long gameplay demo for the upcoming expansion The New War was shown. This should also appear this year and offer plenty of new content, including a completely new main quest series. For an eight-year-old title, Warframe is still very perky. This was also shown by the TennoCon attendance figures – 175,000 spectators were on board on Steam alone.
