Every year it rains heaps of game releases. While some new releases like Elden Ring 2022 surprised us positively and even got the second highest GameStar rating, other releases turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the year for some. Colleague Dimi, for example, mourns the idea of what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could have been.
As always, we are now looking forward to your game conclusion: We are looking for your top 5 best games of 2022!
Last year your top list was a mixed bag – real-time strategy colossus Age of Empires 4 took first place. In 2023, we want to know which games made the last year particularly sweet for you. Found a favorite that wasn’t released last year? Then tell us your personal insider tip and what makes it so special!
How does the election work?
When choosing your favorite game, we are once again doing without the 16 categories of the former GameStars surveys this year. Your entire top 5 consists only of simulation games? Or you can’t put down Elden Ring since release? Are you clueless about strategy? No problem! You can still take part in our survey!
We evaluate the answers and then, like last year, assign the games to the following categories:
- Top 5 PC Games 2022
- Your insider tip
- Top 5 Strategy Games 2022
- Top 5 RPGs 2022
- Top 5 Action Games 2022
- Top 5 Shooter 2022
- Top 5 Sports Games 2022
- Top 5 indie games of 2022
We’ll close the vote Friday January 13 at 5:00 p.m. We will then prepare the evaluation with the results in an article for you as soon as possible – and of course we will also record a retrospective podcast!
How can I participate?
Voting takes place via a Google Forms survey, which you can access via the following link
Vote now for your favorite games of 2022!
Only games that were released last year are considered for your top 5 best PC games. This also includes titles that started Early Access in 2022. In order to take part in the survey, you must name at least one game. You are also welcome to vote for up to five games.
At the end you can tell us about your insider tip. Which title impressed you the most last year? The publication year of the insider tip does not necessarily have to be 2022.
Thank you for your participation – we are already looking forward to the result!
