Game News “We wanted to have fun with the license,” this PS5 and Nintendo Switch video game will not take itself seriously and that’s not a bad thing!
During the Summer Game Fest conference we were able to learn about the existence of this new Lego title that will be released on PS5 and Switch at the end of the year. After two very good games with her, Aloy is back. And she wants to smash bricks!
Fun instead of the end (of times)
Instead of announcing a third episode of the Horizon series, Sony preferred to surprise everyone with the launch of LEGO Horizon AdventuresHere we find a plasticized Aloy who ventures into colorful worlds made of small bricks. On the program? Battles against giant Lego robots from the Horizon universe, customization of outfits, co-op, but also constructions typical of Lego games. As expected, this new title will feature a new story that promises to be particularly offbeat. After all, that’s what we look for when Lego parodies a work we like.
The project’s narrative director, James Windeler, provided further details at GameSpot. Based on Horizon Zero Dawn, this Lego adventure is more humorous and sees Aloy searching for her mother while finding herself in the middle of a major conflict. The title is designed to be family-friendly and very accessible, leaving aside certain sensitive topics that have been discussed in the past. Only one thing counts here: fun.

A favorable climate
James Windeler actually stated that the software was neither a faithful reinterpretation of previous games nor a parody. We wanted to have fun with the license, we wanted to use all the self-referential humor that characterizes Lego games“, he stressed. “We told a story that we felt captured some of the spirit of the original title and some of the themes
As a reminder, Lego Horizon Adventures will not be exclusive to PlayStation 5. According to James Windeler, the lifespan should be around 7 to 8 hours of gameplay. In addition to the Sony console, the software will also be released on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Nintendo Switch
