With a little trick you can send WhatsApp messages directly to phone numbers without saving the contact beforehand. Netzwelt shows how it’s done.
With WhatsApp you can normally only write to numbers saved in your phone book. Unfortunately, the app lacks a numeric keypad for direct contact with an existing WhatsApp phone number.
This can be quite annoying, especially with WhatsApp contacts that are only used temp orarily, such as when looking for an apartment, for carpooling or to quickly ask a small business owner.
With a trick, however, you can easily bypass the need to create a new phone book entry. You can use an interface provided by WhatsApp and write to existing WhatsApp phone numbers directly without saving the contact beforehand.
You can either use the web browser or a simple free app. We introduce you to both methods.
The following method works according to the same principle but a little easier with the free app “Click to Chat“for Android.
