You have to be a Crunchyroll Premium Member in order to be able to secure the three test months. But there is also good news here, because you can use a free trial month for the premium membership to activate the three free trial months for the Game Pass during this period.
The offer is only valid until October 31, 2021 and there is a catch. You can only take advantage of the trial subscriptions if you did not previously have a subscription for Crunchyroll or the Xbox Game Pass.
