Life in the world of Elden Ring is tough: powerful opponents are waiting for you at every nook and corner, who can send your hero to the ground with a few hits. To top it all off, you can also lose your valuable runes, which are also required for leveling up, in the event of your virtual death.
That probably gave one or the other a business idea. Now there are all sorts of offers for huge amounts of runes on Ebay. You can find out here why a purchase would not be a good idea.
If you’ve been averse to playing Souls games, then Heiko will tell you whether the game is worth it for you:
Elden Ring
How much does a Souls skeptic like it?
How does this even work?
There are currently some offers for runes from the role-playing game by From Software on Ebay. The sellers offered huge amounts of one to a hundred million runes. For this they charge prices from four to over 100 dollars.
Two things are necessary for these ominous deals: An item exploit and the Elden Ring co-op mode. Because in order for the sellers to get the huge amounts of runes, they are most likely exploiting a bug that allows items to be duplicated.
In order to enable the rune transfer, the seller then summons the rune seeker into his world and hands him his digital goods there. Ed Nightingale from Eurogamer tried such a trade for research purposes and actually got his runes.

Elden Ring in the Scoring Discussion: Why we think it’s a masterpiece
Rune purchases are hardly worthwhile
Buyers cannot necessarily rely on receiving their runes. After all, they don’t order from an official shop, but turn to an unknown seller and then have to hope that he keeps his word.
In addition, the designation of the rune trade as black market
not entirely inappropriate: Because like ours Colleagues from IGN
Last but not least, there are also much more valid and cheaper ways to increase your own rune treasure. For example, there is an opportunity to farm a large amount of the coveted resource in a short amount of time. You don’t even have to play on the PC for this:

Another trick can even give you up to 70,000 runes in one go, and with a special item you can increase your rune yield permanently. So it’s not really necessary to artificially accelerate the game progress. And the good feeling of having fought for your own success cannot be overestimated.
