“Lost Trial” will use a playable arcade game
The 1996 arcade game Sonic the Fighters (known as Sonic Championship outside of Japan) is a fighting video game developed by Sega, which will be included in The lost trial.
You can see your arcade cabinet in the Sonic Central demo near the 3:19 mark above.
This is not the first time that Sega games have been included in the Rega ga Gotoku Studio game, because the first judgement includes six Sega games, such as Space Harrier, Motor Raid, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, Outrun, etc.
Sonic the Fighters allows you to engage in one-on-one battles with characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
The game is based on the 3D fighting engine of Sega’s earlier fighting game “Fighting Vipers (1996)”, and the game can also be played in “The Lost Judgment”.
“Sonic the Fighters” was finally released on GameCube and PS2 through the Sonic Gems Collection in 2005. Then it was re-released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, with other playable characters and online battle modes.
“The Lost Trial” for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S will be released on September 24.
