One franchise that has seen a resurgence in recent years is Crash Bandicoot. After the first 3 games were remastered, the game saw a sequel to the main series, as well as a remaster of Crash Team Racing and a new party game called Crash Team Rumble. Of those games, only Crash Team Rumble hasn’t been released on the Nintendo Switch. So, it’s not surprising that there have been questions regarding whether or not Crash Bandicoot 5 will arrive anytime soon.
Unfortunately, it looks like they won’t. Nicholas Kole, who is the character designer and illustrator who worked on Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, revealed on social media that “one day people will hear about the Crash 5 that never was and it will break their hearts.” You can see his social media post about it below.
