Nintendo dropped a real bomb for fans earlier today. The company released a teaser trailer for the game with very little information, with the hashtag #WhoIsEmio. All that’s really known at this point is that the game looks like a horror game, and the teaser trailer is called “Emio.” However, Nintendo fans in Australia and New Zealand have been given a bit more information.
You see, the Australia and New Zealand version of Nintendo’s teaser trailer has ratings information for both countries. For Australia, the game is rated MA 15+ and will contain “strong themes, violence and references to suicide”. The New Zealand rating is Restricted 13, and the notes for that rating mention “violence, cruelty, domestic abuse and suicidal themes”. You can see the social media post breaking the news below.
