The latest European video game software and hardware charts are in for April 2022. The Nintendo Switch family of systems remains the best-selling system for the seventh consecutive month. The Switch system was followed by Sony’s PlayStation 5 console and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S. Though it should be stated that both Sony and Microsoft’s newer consoles are still having major supply chain issues. The month of April saw 290,000 games consoles sold, over one million accessories sold and 10.8 million games were sold across European markets, which was a 19% decline over March 2022. The DualSense controller was comfortably the No.1 most sold accessory in April. Nintendo Switch Sports was No.4 in the charts and missed out on the Top Three by a few thousand units according to Games Industry and Kirby and the Forgotten Land was No.6.outselling Kirby Star Allies in a little over a month.
