Nintendo composer Ryo Nagamatsu announced on Twitter that he has now left the Kyoto-based company to pursue new adventures. Mr. Nagamatsu composed the songs for Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3, and more. In a brief statement on the social network, he said he intends to “act a little more broadly and directly to help those who need my help and to help the industry.” It will be interesting to see what his next projects will be. Mr. Nagamatsu originally joined the company in April 2006.
“I have made the decision to leave the company on April 30, 2023. I will be working a little more broadly and directly to help those who need my help and to help the industry. Thank you all for your kind support! I look forward to serving you in the future!”
