One of the writers of the hit movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Gary Whitta, became popular in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a variety program developed within the game.
This idea seems to have been welcomed with open arms by the community, as multiple artists are appearing to participate in the show, including tonight's guests: Danny Trejo, Elijah Wood and Greg Grunberg.
Whitta stated in an interview with The Verge that both Wood and Trejo are big fans of the Animal Crossing series, and that she has previously interviewed them on the show. And it seems that this is just the beginning, as it has many surprises up its sleeve:
I can't say anything, but if I told you some of the guests we have, you literally wouldn't believe me. Is incredible.
Whitta added that her show is attracting artists of all kinds, including record companies, advertisers, and representatives. One of the most likely guests is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whom Whitta contacted on Twitter after politics revealed he was playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
She wants to do it. I want her to do it. We are working on dates. And I can't tell you anything more than that, but if you ask me now, I think it will.
