House Of The Dead 2: The Remake is coming this spring

Forever Entertainment announced today that House of the Dead 2: Remake will finally be coming to Switch in the Spring 2025 — that's in just a few months!

Originally announced with a 2019 remake of its predecessor, this one seemed like a long time coming. Moreover, aside from some fake age ratings that appeared on the Internet last year, we have been given very little information about this bloody trip around Italy.

That is, until today. The new trailer (above) gives us a taste of the remaster's improved graphics — spoiler: it looks a lot like 2022's 'House of the Dead 1' — as it showcases SEGA's on-the-rails arcade shooter in all its fantastic gameplay. glory.

Developed by Megapixel Studio, this sequel is set two years after the first game and sees AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart deployed to a creepy Italian town overrun by monsters. The remaster has enhanced graphics, a new soundtrack and various game modes that you can play alone or with a friend in co-op.

Here's a quick rundown of the game's features and a handful of screenshots from Forever Entertainment:

Game features:
– Remastered music (with classic soundtrack also available in game)
– Modern graphics
– The game is faithful to the original game
– Co-op mode
– Multiple endings and branching levels

Various game modes:
– Classic campaign: Almost two years after the events of the first part, AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart are assigned to investigate a city that has been taken over by undead creatures.
– Boss Mode: Take on the challenge of defeating the game's bosses as quickly as possible.
– Training Mode: Hone your skills in several available training scenarios to improve your abilities before going on a mission.

We found the last House of the Dead: Remake, uhh, fine when it arrived on Switch in 2022. While the classic shooter was still a lot of fun at its core, the overall experience was let down by poor performance and clunky controls. Hopefully the sequel will have better weather when it comes this spring.
