The latest rankings have arrived from the land of the rising sun via sales tracker Famitsu for the week of January 16, 2023 to January 22, 2023. The new #1 has dethroned Pokemon Scarlet & Violet at the top of the charts since publication and it’s new entry in the acclaimed Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem Engage on Nintendo Switch. Fire Emblem Engage sold 144,558 retail units, slightly more than Fire Emblem: Three Houses which sold 143,130 units during its first week on sale in 2019. The best-selling system was the Nintendo Switch family, which sold 51,587 units, although more stock of Sony’s PlayStation 5 console has certainly arrived as it sold 42,152 units this week.
