The exact leaker Midori commented on Square Enix and several projects that the Japanese video game developer has in development. It confirmed reports that Square Enix is currently working on a remake of the acclaimed game Final Fantasy IX, which launched on the original Sony PlayStation back in 2000. Midori also revealed that Square Enix currently has no plans to remake the PlayStation 2 adventure Final Fantasy X . Square Enix recently stated that it plans to make all of its games multiplatform in the future, so it seems likely that the Final Fantasy IX remake could be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.
