The second year of Mortal Kombat 1 is now underway, and NetherRealm Studios announced a colossal story and gameplay expansion called “Khaos Reigns” at San Diego Comic-Con for a September 24th release.
Khaos Reigns will include additional story chapters, the return of Animalities, and a Kombat Pack 2 featuring Ghostface from Scream, T-1000 from The Terminator, Conan the Barbarian, Noob Saibot, and female versions of Cyrax & Sektor. The release date of the three guest fighters is currently unknown, but the three from the Mortal Kombat series will appear in September along with the story expansion.
Animalities will be part of the free content update, but to see the chaotic continuation of the Mortal Kombat 1 story and get Kombat Pack 2, Nintendo Switch players will need to purchase the full Khaos Reigns expansion for $39.99 or their regional equivalent. . A bundle that includes the first Kombat Pack along with new content from Khaos Reigns will also be available for purchase, but Kombat Pack 2 unfortunately cannot be purchased on its own.
