2020 is set to be a great game year, for both of Tony's PlayStation 5 and the Microsoft Xbox Series X is scheduled to launch by the end of this year. With its biggest competitors releasing advanced technology, it may be understandable for Nintendo to worry about the potential impact on Switch as we enter 2021 and beyond, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
It's just been published Japan Q&A, with translations provided by VGC, Nintendo's president, Shuntaro Furukawa, briefly discussed upcoming competitions with investors. "We will clarify some figures for the next financial year in our announcement for the next financial year, but I think it will definitely change the environment as new products emerge from our competitors," he said, furthering his belief that the target audience for Switch and its competitors is unique.
Because of that belief, Furukawa added, "we do not believe that the business tendencies of other companies will have a significant impact on our business."
Just last month, NPD shared a survey that raised more than 40% of Switch owners in the US who also own PlayStation 4 and / or Xbox One. Matt Piscatella of the NPD Group reiterated that he does not believe his Switch rivals will have a better impact on their sales by 2020, and said that Nintendo switchch is "not a" destination in these rival systems.
If these ideas are really right, maybe it makes sense for this trend to continue as the next generation of extremists do? We'll help you put it in the comments below.
